Salter's Lake
Onoway's local fishing lake
Onoway Fish & Game has maintained Salter's lake since 1981. Donations and many volunteer hours by Club members have made this a well maintained fishing lake enjoyed by locals and visitors to the area. population.
Fishing
Open to the public all year round, this lake is stocked each spring and fall with rainbow trout by Alberta Sustainable Resource Development. The lake is aerated in order to support the fish population. There is a boat launch and pier available for public use and boats with electric motors only are allowed. ALBERTA FISHING REGULATIONS APPLY.
Location
Salter's Lake is located south of the town of Onoway on Township road 544, 1/2 km east of Range Road 22. There is a small parking lot, an outhouse and small picnic area.
